Now I have a question - defrosting the car this morning there was frost inside the windscreen as well as outside. I scraped away the outside stuff which was a white crust. The inside stuff was different and I want to know why it is arranged in straight lines making triangles and angles all over the surface?
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

It was that cold at work this morning I could have cried. The hot air curtain wasn't working and every time someone came in the automatic doors automatically let in an icy blast. Not good when you are sitting in front of a computor trying to type and answer phones with numb fingers and chattering teeth!

No idea what the temp was here, my car windscreen was ok as I have a frost cover for it.This morning Oh went out and left the engine running while he sorted his lunch etc. He used my keys to lock the car. As it has been dry here the roads were not very icy. Cars that have been parked up all day were still frosty this afternoon. Oh had to scrape ice from the inside of the windscreen tonight. I am are supposed to be in the English Rivera for goodness sake. No snow as yet. Just b****y freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeezing

                Pretty darned cold!
Took the kiddies to the park this afternoon.Thinking they'd get cold and whiney after just half an hour I only took my little flask, three hours later I wished I'd taken the five cup one!...my neighbour wasn't a lot of help as she chose the smaller option too,but she did remember her seat pad things,so although we had freezing toes, legs, faces et al...at least our bums were nice and warm.

It was -10 this morning, still not cold enough to put the Springer off a dip in the river. It makes me shiver thinking about it, he had iceickles (how is it spelt) on his ears and his belly, not that he noticed or cared. Proof if ever it was needed that the English Springer Spaniel is stupid!

Just been to the car to check - minus 5!! Brrrr - wonder if I should keep the heating on overnight? Don't want my kitties to get cold. One is fine - she has a double thick fur coat but my old fella is a bit fragile...

No thermometer here, but my nose and fingers say it is too cold to loiter outdoors.

Even in mid winter I have a bedroom window open a little and a fan on the windowsill. My OH just buries himself under the covers but I like the fresh air on my face. Last night, however, I switched off the fan and threw over an extra cover. I still couldn't sleep so got up. Silly me even found a torch and ventured outside. -10c again.

                              Cold

Just checked the temp outside -3.5 on Hayling Is. Mum just rang from cornwall, and she has woken up to snow, she's not very impressed!!! Can't wait till it gets here, if it ever does
