I think ones point of view of this will depend on which side of the fence you're on - waiting for a lottie or got one or two or maybe three
When you're on a waiting list and champing at the bit wanting to get going, it is very frustrating knowing that people have four plots and only got themselves and the dog to feed, but on the other hand if they've put all the work into it why should they have to give any up, paricularly if they are all well cultivated
There is no easy answer to this oneSave the earth - it's the only planet with chocolate

There is an easy answer.
Use it or loose it.
If there is demand and a plot is not being cultivated, the tenant gets a warning, no action within (lets say) three months, they get one months notice, no action within that month bye-bye and hello new tenant(s).
Perhaps, use Piglets post as an example on low demand.
Obviously extenuating circumstances accounted for, but not in perpetuity.Last edited by Peter; 15-01-2007, 09:54 PM.Always thank people who have helped you immediately, as they may not be around to thank later.

Yea our rep sends out warning letters and it works very well. As I say luckily there are only a few non conformists. I have lost count of the number of times someone says "Oh I would like an allotment" but they don't realise the work needed to keep one up. and above all clean.
If someone is ill we do rally found and help keep the plot clean but as I also said there are many who just want to keep themselves to themselves and that is no problem at all.

Hi MB, all you have to do is click on the Multi-Quoye button at the bottom of each post you wish to quote from, then when you have highlighted them all hit the Post Reply button at the bottom of the thread, and it does it all for you! You then just add your comments inbetween the Quote and /Quote marks, et voila!
Hope that was of some help, and thanks for the kind words!Blessings

Lol PW!!!! I'm afraid its already as large as the forum limits allow! 80 by 80 pixels is the biggest they will let my avatar be!
Having said that, the original piccy is still on view in its full glory on the thread we started about our plot, in the Newbie seeking opinions / advice / help, possibility of an allotment thread we started back in October, unfortunately its on page 2 (not page 3!) somewhere on here! http://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gra...?t=2681&page=2Blessings
