Just got back in from my meeting round the corner. All the roads are really empty and it's drifting a lot in places too. Not a huge amount in comparison with what you get as standard up in Scotland but we never really get snow in Warrington (Mersey basin and all that) and so it's a real novelty.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

A few flakes when I went to pick up Little C from school, they recon we are going to get it bad (heavy) in the next day or so.

Right, managed to sneak a wee photo through the snow barrier which appears to not be letting me upload any more! This was taken this morning (pre- several more blizzards!), height on patio table at this time was 46cms... Not sure what it is now, but I would hazzard a guess at well over 50cms! Will try to do a snowman for the competition tomorrow - if it stops snowing long enough to make one!

Just got in from work. The snow has stopped but couldn't resist taking these on my phone. It fascinates me how snow can lie on water.........I know, it's lying on ice....

We had about 3" during last night, it fell onto the same of frozen snow. The river Welland in Spalding has been frozen for about 10 days now, only a few spots where the wildfowl can bathe, rather them than me

I am watching the local news and they are showing pictures of Devon with lots of snow. We must be in a pocket of NO SNOW at all. Its weird. They are saying we are in for heavy snow overnight, great I am working all night, will be just my luck to get stuck at work tomorrow. At least I am only one mile away so could walk home gonna put my wellies in the car just in case.

Jackie- I was caught up in the snows of '81/2 ( ???)in Cardiff, when about 2 foot of snow fell. I was on duty in Intensive Care and just had to get in for the patients sake...it would have been easier to stay put there with a camp bed if there had been one. Nothing like a healthy pair of legs eh?? - fortunately I was near enough to work to walk!!

Unlike dear brave old Titus, I have returned, but by jiminy its fresh outside. Had a quick look at the temperature in the greenhouse, -7, and its been beautiful and sunny all day here.
Snow forecast for late tonight apparently, according to TF3.
