Got kicked out of work at lunchtime today due to severe weather warning. Good job too as transport went off not long after I got home.

It has reached Rugby in Warwickshire in the last hour, falling quite well and settling.

My monthly shop was supposed to get delivered tonight but they phoned to cancel. It may come tomorrow depending on weather conditions.

I told you not to go to the Co-op Fiona because they've run out of milk & bread!
Incy offered me a cup of milk but I managed to get a bottle from the local newsagents, it's like siege mentality around here at the moment!
Here's the view out of our front door tonight, very quiet!

I should have listened Sue. I bribed eldest to go to Tesco and he just rang. No bread, no milk, no spuds and 2 packets of rice!!!! Lets hope he snaffled the rice or I am sending MrH out with a bow to catch rabbits. That will go down well with the neighbours

I remember the 81/2 stuff Nicos, being on resident duty at a hospital in Lancashire I took a shovel to work for the shift. At 2pm New Year's Eve it started snowing by 6pm the only ambulance left mobile was a 4x4 landrover, by 9pm even that was off the road. My shift finished 9am day after so went to get the car out of the garage - 4 foot snow drift and guess where the shovel was?

Today walked home in the piffling 2 inches - traffic at a halt.....

We had a couple of inches of snow during the night, out working this morning and had fun wheelspinning to get up the hill to one of the clients, and as HB found it some of it was on top of ice!!

OH dropped me off at work at 7.00 a.m. no snow. He came to pick me up at 7.45 as it was coming down heavily and I wanted to be sure I could get home (can't walk very far now). We had a scarey journey home, but he managed it. He is officially my hero today, because a good 8 inches has fallen in Sheffield and is still coming down. I'm not even setting the alarm tonight!

Well, its still at it, now the temperatures dropping so that could be fun in the morning, OH isn't even going to set his alarm clock for tomorrow....I can feel a big snow man coming on, will post photos if we do. My poor neighbour works in Leeds, she finished work at 4 and got home at 7.30, she'll be helping us make the snowman tomorrow. The mane roads are as bad as the side roads round here....The council haven't put any grit down and they new this was on its way, Arrrrrrrr. The 3rd photo is my car
