Had about a foot of snow overnight with more forecast. Local shops have run out of basics and no doctors able to get in.

Steadily snowing, not big flakes but settling. Horses are out in the paddock they love to frolic in the snow, as long as they are rugged up! apart from our little Shetland who isn't bothered by this, she has got a little field shelter though and I always hang a haynet in there for her to munch on.
Chickens are happy in their arks, its just difficult to keep the water from freezing! I don't mind the snow but will hate it when all this turns to MUD!!

We have had snow up to an hour ago but now we are having thunder, lightening and showers of huge hailstones. What more could we wish for.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

I couldn't decide whether to let Mr TS drive to work today (it's a 60 mile round-trip into deepest darkest remotest Norfolk, so he could feasibly get stuck out there for days).
With that in mind, I sent him off.

Snow: Good or Bad?
Maybe it's because I'm still a child at heart, or because I "Don't have kids, I wouldn't understand!", but I love the snow. It's so rare that we have it for more than one day. I don't care how much of it falls, I'll just deal with it, it's an adventure.
I shouldn't like it because: I have to travel all over the countryside every day in it, if I don't go out I don't get paid, it's cold, my little car doesn't cope very well in it and my work shoes have no grip at all. But none-the-less I love it!
