    • Tis only in this snowy weather you get to see a Bluetit disappear whilst feeding on your bird table. Cause?.... a Robin landed on a tree branch overhead and dislodged the snow on the branch covering the little bird below in a flurry of snow. aww nature... don't you just love it!

      • Love it - and I spend a lot of my time driving -even stranger I love driving in snow as well. And whats wrong with a Fiesta in the snow? I've got a 1.4 d and It's my first time with it in the snow and it has really impressed me with the way it grips in the stuff.
There comes a point in your life when you realize who matters, who never did, who won't anymore and who always will. Don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it in your future.

        • I love it - hardly any cars on the road, and I can't see what a state my garden's in (I can't see the billions leaves that I really should rake up).

Looking forward to getting a sled for Bean - sods law it won't snow next year.

              • Surely we can never get too old to enjoy the stuff of fantasy. That's what snow is all about. Pure magic. Just to watch the snowflakes fall is like being a snowflake myself. Timeless, effortless and so so beautiful.
It may be cold, wet and bring disruption to the world as we know it but it is wonderful that something makes us STOPjust for a moment, take stock stand and stare. Its good sometimes to stand and stare.

                • Makes little difference to me being retired I don't have to go to work.
We are well stocked up so don't need to go to the shops.
And any way it makes the garden look nice.

                        • I had to drive 30 miles today in the snow. Yesterday my mum told me to take a blanket and a thermos flask of soup "just in case".
I had to point out that no amount of blankets and no soup (except maybe a very thick minestrone) is going to stop me skidding head first into oncoming traffic.

                          • I like snow, but hate it when we get grey horrible mush everywhere afterwards!
Kids love it when school closed
Worry about older folks too, we get a lot of fractures and breaks coming into A&E in this weather where people have slipped.

                              • loves it, mostly cos i haven't got kids off school, and don't have to go anywhere ... well except the chemist but it's too slippy to be going into town ... and can sit in front of the fire and look at it all pretty ... except for taking the dogs out ... but thats just fun, cos they run around like loonies for 10 mins, so i don't have to freeze .... was hoping i could get a sledge so they could tow me, but they all seem to be £12 now for what was a £3 sledge before the snow fell
