We've got a mahoosive Ikea bed (2m x 1.8m) and its great!! Because it has a tall metal bedhead and footboard, it feels even bigger in the room, but we don't care, that's what a bedroom is for after all!!

Regarding bedding, our mattress is very deep and we have a 2" thick topper as well, so we buy our fitted sheets from Ikea, but all the rest we buy from anywhere really.

Not sure if anyone's interested but Debenhams have a great sale on and Superking duvets are a bargain - we ordered one yesterday.

I don't mind admitting it - I am also hot in bed.

When LadyWayne was pregnant with Bean it was great, we had a 4.5 TOG duvet all year!

well the first one had to go back as it was far wider then the advert said. And as I want a chest of drawers next to it it would have been a tight fit. OH would have had 17 inches to walk round, and me about 20. It just had too much leather either side, so not just as wide as the matress (180) but it was 194cm wide!
Have found another that I like but it's a 4 week wait... bummer.
And am terrified of ordering the matress cos my my dodgy back.

do you like the way I switch from metric to imperial lol.

Can you get to an Ikea. There you can try out the mattresses with various combinations of toppers on them. Also there bwd sizes tend to be bigger than anywhereelse so their kingsize is bigger than a Kingsize from somewhereelse.

I ended up ditching my chest of drawers, and put a couple of shelves on the wall: low enough so that I can reach my morning cuppa

But where do you keep your pants now?

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?
