  • Let's lose a bit of weight

    (again)

Having a spectacularly poor year with weight watchers last year and ending up the year more than I was to start it (LOADS of great excuses for this lol, the main one being NO SELF CONTROL). I am detemmined to do better this year.

I originally lost 3 stone, have now put one stone back on. I had 4 stone to lose in the first place so now have 2 stone left.

If you wish to join me in trying to lose a bit, LET'S DO IT and help each other.

I will post next week to see if I have lost any. I am making v low fat soup today with the last of my squashes and am writing everything down that I eat, planning the teas and snacks so I can try and stay on track.

And I WILL cut down on alcohol.

I will also (my back permitting) attempt to do my exercise dvd at least once this week. That's an hour of intense excersise, plus the school runs have started again so that's 2 or 3 miles a day depending on whether the toddlie has pre-school as well.

Yup - with you JaneyO - 2 fat Janeys on a diet! LOL

I've cut out the booze, but now I've just got to rid the house of stuff I'm not allowed - anyone for a bar of Green & Black's?

Yay, it wil be so much easier knowing it's not just me...

        I'm hungry already.

Had one scone for breakfast, just had a banana. Might go eat a carrot. And another cup of tea.

It's easier if I go out, but being at home all day the kitchen is too near lol

            Me too please!

I have lost one and a half stone since Oct. but have absolutley loads more to go. I can't believe I've actually lost so much (after years of trying)! I'm afraid it will slow down though, and that I'll loose motivation, but with the help of you gals (and guys) hopefully I'll stay on the straight and narrow. We're going to join the local leisure centre, so hopefully lots of swimming will help too.

            Thanks janeyo.

I lost 2 stone last year, but I've got to keep it up, I really could do with getting rid of another 3 . Booze definitely doesn't help, I count the points for the drink, but then having alcohol makes me want to eat more, and to lose the will to resist. I'm easily persuaded too, if someone offers something, I find it very hard to say no.
I weighed in on Tuesday (4lb on over the 2 weeks ), but this cold weather, and now having a snow day off school doesn't help. I have cleaned and washed the floors right through, as they looked a right mess after the decs came down, now I should get on with the marking, but I'm thinking about elevenses (even tho I'm a bit late )
I could not live without a garden, it is my place to unwind and recover, to marvel at the power of all growing things, even weeds!

I'm the same as Ginger with 4 stone to lose - didn't bother restraining myself over Chrismas but did wear a pedometer and clocked up a healthy number of steps every day - so the net result was I stayed the same weight! I think I got away with it. Now to get myself motivated for the long haul!! Jacket potato for lunch - and the cheese that I can't resist.
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

Glad to see I am in such good company as I join your ranks! I am peeved to notice that the smaller nursing bras I got (having LOST! weight during the pregnancy) are now getting a little , shall we say, snug I am still in two minds as to wether to continue breastfeeding or even try and increase from feeding at night again (cos formula just soo expensive) so cannot actualy diet but should eat as healthily as poss.

Right I have made it to 12, lunchtime!- hoorah, have had an apple and a banana as snack this morning. I am going to have my almost no point soup with 1 slice of wholemeal bread.

And I have worked up a sweat vacuuming the whole house!

I'm with you too! 4 stone eventually would be good for me, but a couple by May is my first goal. I've managed to put on a whole stone since October when I went off work sick - never realised my job was keeping my weight down - hopefully I'll be back there next month and my life can go back to normal (ish!).
Planning to walk to the shops after lunch (soup!)
Life is too short for drama & petty things!
So laugh insanely, love truly and forgive quickly!

Just rememebr Tammy it takes 9 months to grow a baby and you should allow 9 months after havinbg the baby for you body to get back to normal. I am sure this must be longer after twins!

You can have squillions of calories a day if you are b/f!

2 tiny pieces of wheaten bread toasted for breakfast, 2 clementines, one cup-a-soup, 2 half cups of tea, and 4 richtea biscuits . I think that means no lunch then. This hasn't got off to a good start has it?
