There is probably a genetic factor in how readily one can resist them temptation of enjoyable food, so to that extent, it IS genetic.
Me, I need to lose lots of weight, but I'm setting my target at ½st, until I get that far.

Have just cut portion sizes down really. Even managed some clotted cream caramel and honeycomb ice cream last night!!
I was going to suggest to people who's problem is snacking...in the morning make yourself up a little snack bowl.Once it's gone you're allowed no more.I find that far easier than trying to deal with the little voice telling me "one more won't make a difference"the fates lead him who will;him who won't they drag.

One week today since I started Atkins and I've lost 6lb - can't cope with metric for body weight, though I happily use both for cooking. Funny innit?
I'd like to join in with the 'what I ate today' thread. Is it here yet? Had a lousy night and darling OH has let me sleep in until half an hour ago, so not at my best.
Keep up the good work, everyone.

I think it might be easier if they'd stop telling us what's good for us and what's not.

Right - here goes!
Today, I have had;
06:45 - 1 white coffee with 1 level tsp sugar when I got up (earlier than usual due to early Farrier visit!)
Then I went and mucked out and fed/watered the nags, then back home to feed Chooks, let out geese etc.
09:45 - Two home made beefburgers with small slice cheese on top (these were left-over from last night's dinner), I had them cold, and they were yummy.
11:00 - I small glass milk (trying to cut out the coffee but didn't fancy water)
13:15 - Two bowls home made French Onion Soup (no croutons)
Spent most of the morning at the Poota doing stuff for my Sister, so no physical exercise there.
Dinner will be Steak & Kidney Casserole, which is currently cooking in the slow-cooker, I'll probably finish off last night's calabrese, carrots and cabbage too, Mr. G will doubtless have mash or chips, coz he doesn't have a weight problem (g*t). Before dinner will be my six-weekly trip to the Chiropractor - YAY! I always feel a foot taller when I've been, though the mirror lies to me, I'm sure of it!All the best - Glutton 4 Punishment

My target is 1 - 2lb a week, which should not be too difficult to attain. It's when I hit a plateau and it goes on for weeks that I usually come unstuck.
