  • Well, following my 8 miler on Fri, I worked a fairly hectic 14 hour shift on Saturday, followed by a 9 miler round Grafham Water with the rest of the Skeleton Trek group on Sunday. (hardest walk so far as we had plenty of hills etc to get up and down this time.)

Woke up yesterday feeling like death, went to work and lasted an hour till I had to come home Have overdone it I think, not enough rest/sleep between exertion possibly?
Will sit down with diary and plan training around work/play schedules to make sure ths doesn't happen again. Still being better behaved about picky snacks in the evening and smaller portion sizes.

Maybe a few more rides TS before you notice anything.

Five stone gone since mid September - hard at times though.

      • I went to Londinium this w/e, with the temptation of nice dinners etc. However, we got stuck in traffic*, so I only had cereal bars for lunch, then at the restaurant my dinner never arrived.
I was so busy dancing (Jazz Cafe) that I didn't feel hungry (I did have 4 Bloody Marys though: the ideal meal replacement drink I think).

Back on track today: toast, soup, veggie stir fry, no booze.

        * I went early by coach, OH drove with friends & I met them later, after I'd blown a fortune at the fabric shops in Goldhawk Rd. The coach took 5.5 hrs, the car took 4.5 hrs

        • Travelling into London by road is a pain nowadays isn't it - sounds like you still had a good time. I've lapsed a little lately, as I've been too lazy to go shopping to stock up. I have been making the most of the Roasted Tomato soup in the freezer though - it's still as good as when we made it back in September!

          • I just don't seem to have got my head around things this week. Not been particularly bad, but I haven't tracked what I've been eating, so don't know how I'll do on Tuesday, which is weigh in day Just off to make pizza for DD and son No2, OH and I will have slamon and veg I think, tho it sounds a bit boring I can't be bothered with anything else.
I could not live without a garden, it is my place to unwind and recover, to marvel at the power of all growing things, even weeds!

            • Salmon and veg always sounds boring, but is usually delicious! Mr. G frowned when I bought some salmon a couple of weeks ago, but it was so yummy he insisted on having it again the following night!

                • Well I am off to my first dancersize class tonight. Not really looking forward to it but am sure once I am there it will be fine. It's local and it's cheap so can't be bad lol.
If I'm not around for a few days it will be because I can't lift my arms to type PMSL

                  • 4 mile bike ride, toast-soup-yogurt-soup (no bread), no booze. A good day. I don't feel at all hungry either.

                    • Keep at it Ladies - you're doing fine!

I'm still behaving (which is rare for me!) very little wine, only one coffee a day but substituted with water. Unfortunately, my innards are still not quite right after the bug a couple of weeks ago but I've definitely lost a little weight - no snacking and eating smaller meals with hardly any carbs.

Soooooo glad I've got soup from last years Toms - I can't stop raving about how yummy it is!

                      • Not a good week.

Have been comfort eating and not walking very much cos of feeling horrible.
Got back on track today with 8.5 miles (have done a couple of short ones when feeling ok) and have found I'm not siezing up after each walk like I did at first. Stamina getting better, and I'm drinking gallons which is no bad thing.

Depends what you're drinking gallons of kirstyb!

Seriously - well done! In fact, well done everybody.

I'm off for my first (not counting the one to find out how bad things were last week! ) weigh-in tonight. (Does crossing your fingers make you weigh less??!! )

                            • Stayed the same last week, which is OK.

Have tried to be good, and have found that I have had to lay off stuff like fizzy pop and alcohol cos my kidneys can't take it (thankful for small mercies etc)

Have now got a target to work to though... one of my best friends is getting married next February and is, like me, a larger lady. We have decided that we will both be thin/slim/slimmer for her wedding, so that we look ravishing in the photos (instead of pregnant, which is how I currently look!!)

                              • Good luck to you both OWG.

First weigh-in - lost 3.5lbs - WOO HOO! I'm particularly pleased because an underactive thyroid (plus sedentary job and snow at the lotty) means it's quite difficult.
