  • Really didn't want to do my exercise tape today, but I made myself: 25 mins of dancercise. Plus 5 mile bike ride. Porridge - soup - jacket spud, vodka diet tonic later on.

I looked longingly at the sweets (Twirls) in Iceland, but resisted. By the time I got home, I'd forgotten I wanted them.

No difference yet, jeans are still tight, but I'm hanging on in there (top half is fine, I just put fat on my thighs & bum)

    • Gosh, you gals are doing so well on the exercise front! I hope the pounds are falling off quickly.

Do you lose fairly quickly on your legume-rich fare, Two Sheds?

At last! After 15 days at 12st because of a flare-up of the arthritis, I hit the scales today at 11st 13lb!!!
I have amazed myself by sticking to the diet all this time in the absence of any weight loss. I'm sure this determination is because I'm doing it in good company. Even though we're not all going about it the same way it helps to know that others are battling too, and it's cheering to hear about everyone's efforts and successes.

        • You're going to have to be fierce with him, Hilary! I'm lucky in that Mr C is also trying to lose a bit - and not finding it easy. Don't give in! Remember, you're worth it!!

Maybe he likes you cuddly! You have my sympathy, it IS hard when someone keeps tempting you.

            Keep up the good work!

Well done - especially on not giving in when you were stuck. There's something about dropping a digit in the stones, isn't there?

              • I am delighted to reoprt that despite not making it to class last week and therefore having 2 weeks before weigh in I lost 1 1/2 today. I normally put on if miss a week.
I have been doing more excersise and have been thinking long and hard about everything I eat. I have a stash of carrots in the fridge which I am now eating every time I feel like something sweet. Not cracked the snacking habit yet but working on it.
Can't make dancersise later as my little boy has football practice, so have already decided to walk him there even if it's raining and have put my exercise dvd out ready for later instead.

Oh mine SHOULD be losing weight as well, but his idea of eating less is to go without all day and then eat a massive supper (with 'afters', anything from fresh fruit to a cream cake), and I simply can't do it that way, so I have trouble not eating while waiting for it to be supper time!
I do manage to eat much smaller portions than he does at supper time (use a smaller plate and fill to same degree of fullness), and on the whole miss out afters unless it is 'straight' fruit.

                    • When do you weigh yourself and how often?

Do you weigh daily or weekly and first thing in the morning. Daily weigh in worked for me, but it's not a recommended practice. I walk first, then weigh in before any breakfast.

                      What do you do?
                      I love growing tomatoes.

                      • Daily, first thing in the morning after a pee. It may smack of OCD but it keeps me going!

No. My thighs stubbornly hang onto their fat, always have done. My ribs can be like a toast rack and I'll still have fat thighs
The only thing that works on them is running, but I haven't run since my bike crash: my knee is still painful.

                          • I weigh in on a Friday morning (gives you the chance to get off anything you may have overindulged in he previous weekend!). So today was a pound loss! Not as much as I would have liked, but have increased the weight training and didn't do as much cardio as would have liked. Going in the right direction I suppose

Licking the bowl is the only reason I like making cakes lol

I did do my ex dvd last night, all bar the last few mins when davina had to go it alone as I couldn't get up any more.
                                Back is killing today.
Wine tonight but I have pointed it.
