Post arrived today for first time in ages.
Bins are supposed to be emptied tomorrow, but I cant see that happening.
Asda cancelled my shopping order on Tuesday night and it still hasn't come.

Postal service is dire all the time so I haven't really noticed any 'missed' deliveries!

The letter post lady has delivered everyday including some small packets. Ron the parcel deliverer called twice today bless his heart. The main roads have been gritted and are clear of snow but the side roads are like sheet ice.
Our binmen and recyling chaps collected as usual but much later in the day than usual. Dunno if that was down to post Xmas and NY collections or the snow.If a thing's worth doing, it's worth doing to excess

Update - post arrived yesterday, more than usual so probably some of the backlog

Magazine arrived yesterday, finally. Had time only to flick through last night, but it seems like I will find it very useful. Will have a proper read at the weekend.

We got post today!
We haven't got any parcels bigger than letterbox size, but I can live with that. As long as they turn up eventually.
I did get a free replacement purse from Cath Kidston today, which was a surprise. The one I paid a fortune for broke after a year and I wrote to complain. I'm glad they sorted it.
The DD has finally got a letter saying she'll get her student loans. It's only taken them since last August....
It was a different postie so I'm a bit concerned about Mr Muscle.....wonder where he is?

Had post all week but no parcels - our postie is an ex-miner and as hard as nails! Apparently he was known for his actions in the miners strike (always nice to him).
Am waiting for lots of big parcels including bird seed and dog food - no sign of them.
As for the bins - apparently bin men are currently driving the gritting lorries (ummmm must not get started on council gritting policy) so won't be emptying them till next week. Recycling bins are full and overflowing, normal bin virtually empty.Karen
