Yeh!...tis good to see you again!
30cm snow???- wow..I saw snow shoes for sale in GiFi before Xmas and laughed at the idea of needing them here until last night when we needed to chase a neighbours car down the hill which had decided to set off on it's own with no-one in it!!!
Darn...I just missed the moment of impact when it hit the wall!!

Well life's been soooooooo good and sooooooooo bad, last year we saw the very best and the absolute worse in people, for anybody that saw the reports in November/December about the ex UK copper that was responsible for 4 deaths in our village, we were the principle witnesses in the case in the Uk and in France.

Will post elsewhere about the better things

Well it did involve a dark suit, a speeding train, some grappling ropes, a helicopter, a box of chocolates and a goat (although she asked for her name to be withheld for privacy reasons) but finally I got my visa.
The city of lions, Oran, is not dissimilar from most ex French colonial cities, large sweeping boulevards, a corniche, fantastic architecture and the whiff of inexorable decay, but notwithstanding all of that, its warm.
Most wonderously, I am working for a German company, although have seen hide nor hair of previous locked in office German thankfully.
The place is likely to go mad this afternoon as Algeria are playing Malawi in the Africa cup of nations, so am hoping to get to the pool before the .......... no, I just shant.
