I've just done Day 3 of Chris Evans and he has got to go - from my radio, too noisy by far for the morning slot, hardly any humour (to me).

What the heck do I replace it with

My mum said the same thing to me earlier.........

Personally I found Wogan to be totally cringeworthy and haven't tried Chris Evans so can't comment for me.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

I agree Alison. Couldn't cope with Terry, or Ken Bruce, Jeremy Vine is a sensation merchant - never happier than when he has 'Joe Public' moaning on about something or other and making themselves look like prats, Steve Wright spends too much time 'bigging himself up' and makes me cringe too. And the whole Radio 2 experience just makes me feel ancient! And they don't play drum'n'bass either...

So I switch between Radio One and 6Music, which suits me fine, except Sunday teatime when you have a choice between the Chart Show on R1 - far too poppy and cheesy, or, the Freak Zone on 6M which is just too weird to be called music most of the time!

          Ditto most of that.

I've tried the Freak Zone too - I know Mr Maconie (sp?) knows his stuff, but it's way weird dude! Way weird.

I'm going to give Simon Mayo a week or two - let him settle in, but to date I've switched over a few times because I just .........I dunno, can't put me finger on it. I even switched over to Classic FM on one occasion, and I usually can't bare it because of all the adverts.

I think Chris is fantastic. Oh, and Moira Stewart is a stroke of genius.

I keep thinking of tuning in to try Chris but can't get past the mental block of how horrendous he used to be back in the day. Now I KNOW he's calmed down a lot as I've seen him on chat shows but he used to make me run for the off button in the TFI days.

Re Simon Mayo, think I tried to post the other day (computer froze up and post lost ) that I used to love him when he did the Radio One breakfast show years ago but not heard him since and he's probably finished by the time I'm driving home anyway. Mornings are more important to me as it takes twice as long to get in.

Am still enjoying CE in a morning, however can't get on with Mayo on Drive Time....

Spent last night going through CD's and have picked out a few choice ones that I haven't listened to in a while for the journey home!
