on the other side of the coin and to hopefully give Snadger some confidence back in Amazon.... I ordered a new printer from Amazon, as follows:
- Placed order on 13 Jan
- Amazon email to say delivery will be approx 18 Jan
- Printer arrives 14 Jan
- No monies yet taken

Was the maul from amazon itself or one of the interminable outside sellers who work through amazon.

Amazon are usually fine - if they say they have it it turns up but the external sellers are another thing entirely. Doubt you can check now but if you can I would look - the external sellers are a minefield, mainly good but some leave much to be desired.

I agree TP, my printer (see above post) was direct from Amazon. I haven't yet had any problems with externals but I know of people who have

Cor! That does surprise me and I understand why you were so upset.

I've only had one order from them cancelled but it wasn't amazons fault. I had pre-ordered a book and the publication date was subsequently changed/delayed so amazon cancelled the order. I had no particular problem with this.

Shame about your maul, have you looked at axminster tools?
