I've only had one General Anasthetic before, for my wisdom teeth. My one lasting memory of the whole episode was waking up in the theatre after it was over, and saying to the nurse 'But they didn't count me down!' (bless me eh!)

My one and only general anaesthetic was for an emergency Caesarian, and when I woke up (ish) they wouldn't let me have anything to drink. Gave me ice cubes to suck - you try holding them when you're woozy from the drugs!! I distinctly remember accusing the pixies of nicking my ice cubes!! (mind you, I was born in Devon) Good luck for the op and the recovery PB.

Just caught up with this thread. So glad I'm off the caffeine or the poota would've been covered by now!

A friend spent last weekend in Broomfield Hospital waiting for his broken leg to be pinned, and discovered he had internet access from his bedside TV thinggy! Talk about up to date huh!? (Sorry, couldn't be bothered to find an interrobang LOL)

Anyway, hope all goes well on Friday.
