Hmmmm 17 year old lads been there done that got the t shirt four times over lol though I must admit that when my dishwasher broke beyond repair the boys offered to help pay for a new one just so they wouldnt have to wash up. lol. Glad he has had a read of posts and a good laugh. When one of mine had a hissy fit over something stupid I packed his bags and took him to his dads, he came back the next day with his tail between his legs. They do get better, my sons are brilliant now they have left home, I am suprised at how tidy they are, and how much they do to help their partners. I think they have morphed into someone else's sons lol.
Get him to make some stock he must like cooking as you said he is quite good at it. A chef in the making ?????

Relgex! Ralgex! Ralgex! Ralgex! Ralgex! - go with Ralgex.

The fact he knows what stock looks like is the BIGGEST indication to me that he was super hissy and it was a deliberate act to dump it (perhaps I hate accusing people of anything, Grapes children are even harder).

Maybe it's time a favourite top could shrank / changed colour in the washing machine, by accident of course.

Golly Fiona - a chap who actually looks around the kitchen to see if there's anything else to wash up? You've got a treasure there - even if he can't tell stock from water!!!

I'm sorry but he has given himself away - he can already make stock. Sorry but if you can make stock then you know darn well what it looks like. It was a deliberate 'accident'.

He either needs to make more stock, from scratch, which given his skills shouldn't be hard or I would suggest scrubbing the kitchen floor - which might give him time to consider the wisdom of not destroying his own supper!
The weeks and the years are fine. It's the days I can't cope with!

He won't do it again, I assume! Mr R did that once with a pan of stock. He is incredibly tidy and frequently chucks (perfectly good) stuff away just to make things look neater. You really have to watch him sometimes...

Anyhoo, genuine mistake I think, and probably true that not too many teenager lads can spot the difference between a pan of filthy water, and a precious, laboured-over stock...
