We all work in a U shaped single story office block. If Hans wants to go and see Juergen, he just needs to walk, at the absolute most, 4 minutes to his office and have a chat.

Sounds as if you're trying your best to sort out the arrangements and they are just being awkward.

Before you put your foot down ask them why it's so important that they share with their friends and point out how difficult it is to accomodate everyone's preferences.

Unfair! I voted before you said drivers were all ok and in convoy - 10-5 good buddy! - in which case I'd tell them that if they didn't like the arrangements which were designed for their security, then they could always walk!

Just tell 'em to get in the cars and stop moaning! I am a carp passenger and would probably be shrieking whatever car I get in However if the alternative is walking and possibly getting shot I would put up with it!

Sometimes if you have a whole bunch of people you just cant let em all make decisions willy nilly, especially as I am assuming you are organising security and not a church f�te? Mind you I have seen church f�tes disintegrate due to "management by committee".

The only caviate I would give is if Hans and Juergen actually work in the same room together all day I can see the logic of transporting them in the same vehicle.

There is a compromise between efficient transport and efficient work, if these civilians work better by being cosseted is the transport risk low enough to afford their whims?

If the answer to that is no then your position is simple, security requires different cars and drivers and a random seating pattern to minimise the chances of one car being targeted.

If the answer is yes then you need each team member to give you the name of a 'buddy' they would prefer to travel with, that buddy needs, for preference, to be staying at the same hotel as the team member who requested him. You can then sort out car loads of people who prefer to travel together.

As to which car where - I fail to understand the problem. You could try asking you team why?
