Google keep on changing the name of their shopping comparison thing. Originally it was Froogle, then google base and now to confuse things further it is Google Product Search.

You can find the info you need here:

Many of your visitors are me, Hazel. I use the link on your blog to access the Grapevine. Haven't been able to do so directly since the upgrade before last!

Google Stats are okay(ish). I did some head-to-head comparisons with it and a few paid for packages last year, based upon a comprehensive analysis of the server log. The test was repeated in a controlled environment too.

The paid for packages were around 90 per cent accurate (±5 per cent), whilst Google Stats was around 75 per cent accurate (±10 per cent). Also, Google Stats was pretty dire with certain coding, failing to handle a couple of dynamic languages altogether.

The problem is that it is based upon javascript reporting, which isn't 100 per cent in some environments, and modern techniques to avoid active elements will filter out some js scripts. Also, the way that the data is applied is somewhat 'blanket' in its approach.

It's fine for real basics, but as it's free most people don't care.

Wow - so your presence on the Vine is entirely down to me - cool!

I think I should have some sort of prize for that - everyone knows that the Vine wouldn't be the same without you here on it!
