How about moving the stickies to the bottom of the page going up the way and that way you only need to view them by scrolling down to them?

                      yeah, and ?

I can't help it, I like things tidy, in their place, and logical. I'm going to go sort my books into height order now, and turn all the food cans so that the labels are facing front

Only just read this thread but don't really see the problem. The only time I ever go into the separate bits eg the fruit, veg, new shoots etc sections is if I want to start a thread. The rest of the time I simply click on the new posts bit so the stickies aren't relevant. If I could be bothered a lot of the time I'd filter out the chickens bit (don't keep and no intention of as they wouldn't fit into my life and don't eat many eggs!) and the chat section (I find most of this drivel, but that's just me ) but that would take longer to do than just panning down the page if you see what I mean.

Re the repeated questions, it can be a bit annoying when there seems to be some days when half a dozen people post the same question one after another, especially when the previous post is already current but if you're new then it can be difficult to find things. Pointing out that there is a search facility is a very useful thing as if you don't know it's there then you can't use it and as long as it's done politely then it should be encouraged.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

I think the top and bottom of it is the vine is becoming a victim of it's own success...............which is no bad thing in my eyes! These things invariably have a way of working themselves out. To talk about it and bandy ideas about is no bad thing either.

I have seen this happen on many forums, it can be the downfall of the forum - depending on the people in it!
