Is it possible to place them in another way

Never test the depth of the water with both feet

You will have to sign a pledge that you will always ensure that:
        - cutlery sits neatly stacked in the drawer, it does not fall about
        - tea-towels are ironed and stack with the fold alternating
        - handkerchiefs, ditto (Ghost moment) tea-towels
        - clothes will always hang in the wardrobe based on the colours of the rainbow
        - newspapers (if they really really must be kept!) are stacked as for tea-towels
        - garden pots are washed after use and size-graded

        erm, oops

When I get home tonight, I must put a photo of our cutlery draw on here. I have a step daughter with learning difficulties but by heck everything has got to be in its place.

                    • Piskie... you forgot to mention ironing the bedding too. with the matching pillow cases and the fitted sheet folded in between the cover so you take 1 set out the cupboard and all and sundry needed is there! Fitted sheets also properly folded in a certain way to come out as 1 neat rectangle. Dusted ornaments go back on the shelf in the exact same place at the same angle you took them off at and narry a skew picture frame in sight....errmmm maybe I'm a bit OCD too

So, who's going to volunteer to sort out the tent plan for Grapestock?

I'm off to get very muddy, get these bad thoughts out of my head.

OK - cutlery in it's own drawer, fair enough
Tea towels and hankies, why iron, they're fine just washed and folded (whichever way they fit, what's this alternating bit?)
Clothes, don't own the colours of the rainbow but do put same type together ie all skirts at one end, then long sleeved, short sleeved etc, seems more logical than by colour to me.
Newspapers, don't buy but local ones go in the recycling bin
Garden pots - we've had this before, they get size graded so they stack OK but other than that, life is too short!

If he closes the door how do you know if anybody is in there, if the door is shut at ours then somebody is in residence so you don't go in. With you on the loo seat though, OH was trained when I met him, thank God!

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

I have to assume that visitors would lock the door, everyone who knows me (and comes here) know's it's a house rule They are used to me
