Me too, while I love love love that film, I can't watch anything sad right now. Once I start, I don't stop.

Sorry Alison, but I think it will affect a lot of people especially ones like Jeaniad and I who have lost their partners. So you may think it's carp, but it hits a nerve.

Just because it touches a very real and sad sentiment doesn't make it a good film though.

Can't comment on Dirty Dancing, never seen it or ever felt the urge to watch either. Just not my kind of thing.

It was made back in 1990, it was a good film - to me! Films, like books, art etc are all subjective

Oh no probs at all with you liking it, lots of people do, was just responding to a comment that seemed to indicate that I should like it because of it's subject matter being very relvant to some people. Probably didn't word well but at least one person (me!) knew what I meant.........
