We get ours through tiscali (although I now think it's been taken over by talktalk) .We have our telly, broadband and phone . The phone is free for 60mins per call day or night nationally and maybe some international calls, not sure what speed broadband but I could check and we have a good range of tv channels, better than freeview which cos it comes down the phone lines doesn't break up like the sky satellite used to. costs roughly 30-35 a month depending on any extras we've had like films etc. And no line rental that's included. Been with them well over a year and so far no problems.

I don't know what are 'migration charges'?
(our BT bill just came, and it was normal, apart from VAT rise). I find BT bills very difficult to understand, personally. They're about 6 pages long, and not written in plain English.

We're quitting BT - had various difficulties with them since moving and neither of us can bring ourselves to complain anymore as it's too frustrating. We have holes in various walls from their botched attempts at 'solving' the problems that they created.
We need a basic telly package (not bovved about sport or movie channels etc), broadband and 'phone. Nothing fancy, just reliable and easy (and quick - don't want to be without internet for ages). This thread might just prompt me to get on with it!I don't roll on Shabbos

Our bill is around £23 a month and includes free up to 60 minutes on 01 and 02 numbers all day, every day and also includes free calls to Australia. Free broadband, line rental included.
We took it out with them about three years ago when they had a special offer on. We were taken at the time with the free broadband because we only had dial up then.
When it came to it though it turned out that the free broadband wasn't applicable to us at the time because they didn't have it in our area. We were assured that it would become free as soon as they did.
We were VERY sceptical as it seemed a take on but because we worked it out that it was still cheaper than we were paying BT at the time, we took the chance and did it. (Cheaper even allowing for the extra £10 that carphone whacked on for the broadband)
We were very surprised about 18 months later (sorry vague on these dates - don't have the bills to hand) when they informed us that as we were now in their area for free broadband they were not taking the extra money in future. I was so shocked I emailed for confirmation and got a very pleasant reply saying I had read it correctly.
We have paperless billing but they email me each month to tell me the bill is ready on line.
The bills are a hell of a lot clearer than BT's who always confused me because they appeared to do the credit with a minus figure
Probably shouldn't say this, tempting providence and all that, but they are very good sorting out problems and yes, you do have to speak to somebody called Patrick or Doris or whatever when you ring with computer queries and you know full well they are in India or somewhere but they are very clever and if they can't help you then they will eventually give you a special number to contact in England.
And no - I don't work for them!!!!
(I dont work for them either)

We got the same deal just over a year ago and I could rave on about them forever. My sis and my mum-in-law also got the deal and I can now chat to them for ages for completely FREE. Ive gone down the BT path and now Im with Talk Talk I will never look back.
(I dont work for them either)

The only problem I have really, is that the OH can moan at me more because I tend to spend a lot more time talking to my family (keeping one eye on the time of course) and he can't understand what we find to talk about!!

We're with BT & pay monthly direct debit & have recently switched to paperless billing. I got an email today telling me our bill was available to view online so I checked it - they claim they owe us £25 - I'm saying nothing!
There was nothing about 'migration charges' etc., just a note that the VAT had gone up, the bill was just for the last 2 months though. We were on the 'low user' rebate scheme as we don't really use it for calls just AOL Broadband but have now been taken off that as we're not on benefits etc. & put on the 'free evening & weekend' calls scheme so our monthly direct debit will probably go up once the credit has been used, we only pay £6 a month at the moment.Into every life a little rain must fall.

We're also with Talktalk been with then since October its cost £18.48 a month and that includes 16 meg broadband, free anytime local calls then 0845/0870 numbers are free at evening/weekends.
Nearly all are calls are local so usually we don't have anything more to pay each month.Location....East Midlands.
