  • If only I could bottle it

This burgeoning enthusiasm that seems to manifest itself among us at this time of year.

My head is filled with ideas of what I want to do, the things I'd like to grow, how tasty my produce is going to be, what I'm going to build, and so on, and so on.

The fact that the sun is shining today and that it looks really pleasant out (from the office window) seems to increase it's potency tenfold.

There's almost a smell about it in the air - almost tangible.

There's a certain "tingle" and energy as everything is readying itself for the season ahead.

    Can you feel it?

    Isn't it exciting?!

I must confess to not gaving stepped anywhere near my plots since September 2nd and dread going over. I have 2 tunnels full of tomato haulms, raised beds full of last years crops and neither the time or inclination to sort it out.

Oh yes it's here! The gardening and chuck chat with clients is has started, and by the sounds of it the bug has bitten everyone. They're clearing, building and repairing, out buying compost, seeds, seed potatoes etc, etc, . Its great!

Well I've spent the last couple of days trying to dig in preparation for a big muck delivery, and the planting of 30 raspberry canes. I've got nowhere fast, and am utterly exhausted today. So if anyone manages to bottle some "Gardening Oomph", I'll buy a crate...

Hi Jane yes I know that feeling! lol I was a bit fedup at work last Thursday so made the mistake of having a look at Nicky's Seed's! I ended up spending about £21, on a range of seeds. I am eagerly awaiting delivery of the seeds!

Im afraid I caved in to the temptation I resisted last year! Hopefully I have some Trinidad Scorpion chilli seeds waiting for me when I get home! They were expensive because they are scarce! £3 for only 5 seeds or £5 for 10 seeds! By only ordering the 5 seeds, that meant the other £2 to spend on some other seeds Last year when I looked I could only find those seeds in packs of 10 so desided not to buy! I hope that by end of the season I will have a few seeds to swap on here, I just need to get them to grow and give some chillies! We will just have to wait and see! Fingers crossed for me please!

Yes I recognise that feeling-bit of sunshine and a dry day and the plans and ideas are whirring around the old grey cells. It's definitely an itchy 'can't wait 'feeling.
