I'm a Bogof kinda gal, can't resist a bargain, l love Avon bubble bath, I have 4 opened + 12 in the bathroom cupboard unopened,+ 2 shower gels open and 5 unopened + 2 deodorants + 4 unopened , yup you've guessed it they were on offer, OH's just as bad, He has 2 bubble bath open + 6 unopened in the cupboard with 5 deodorants, 6 shower gels + numerous aftershaves and balms out of sight, that's not including the box full of simple soap + products of mine, I must confess to 17 bottles of perfume/Eau de toilette/perfume oils.
.......Don't get me started on what's in the make-up sack..sorry bag.

We never really use our bath - think I generally only have about one a year and then I tend to just add a bit of lavendar oil or similar as I find most of the bubble baths are rather drying on my skin so oil is better. Don't use shower gel either as I hate all the packaging so use homemade type soap (sometimes bought, sometimes made) which is far richer than the chemical bought stuff. So in summary, we don't do that sort of stuff, must save a fortune too!

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

...whether you need one or not

I used to be a bath stuff hoarder, then when we moved I shocked myself and although I buy a new one every now and then, I am near to using up all the old stuff and just when I think I have, another birthday/easter/christmas comes along and I get given a few more.

As for the rest of you, you just need a bigger bathroom cupboard lol. Ironically, I've just cleaned the bathroom, and chucked out stuff that doesn't get used. Mr. G never buys stuff, preferring to moan at me when he's run out. He will buy shave balm though. It's great stuff, makes his face as soft as his ars...

I have a big black and white box that came to me about 3 years ago full of stuff from Lush. When I receive anything for pressies from Lush I just put them in the box. Its still nearly full and I don't think I'm ever going to see the bottom of it.
In my family, if you get a reputation for liking anything, when birthdays or anniversaries come around everyone assumes something from Lush will be sure to please.

OH uses one preferred make of shampoo and same brand shower gel. I use a different shampoo, other than that it is soap, usually Wright's Coal Tar, but I do sometimes buy the really unusual ones (you know, the stuff with bits of seaweed or orange or something equally strange in) and that gets used on occasion.
I keep an anti-bacterial handwash beside the kitchen sink.

No shower here, just a bath. no cupboard / box etc so only what fits on the windowsill.

Currently 2 opened (muscle ease & stress release) bubble baths (Tesco's own) and both almost empty too......

all the other gubbins is in the bedroom (I think)

Rarely bath unfortunately have trouble getting in and out of it, so shower every morning. I was given a lot of Sanctuary gels and scrubs for Christmas and I really like it. I'll be getting more when this runs out. OH only uses Imperial Leather soap and Lynx antiperspirant, so plenty of room for my stuff in the bathroom.

As for bottles of shower gels - I only have three - two are open (I use these alternately) and one spare. Then as soon as the two open ones are nearly finished I look for a buy one get one free offer to replace them. Same with shampoo. Is that sad or what?
Power showers use a LOT of water. Probably as least as much as a bath, unless you're very quick.

And they use a lot of electricity too, which is usually around 3 times the price of gas. So, if your normal water is gas heated, you'll be paying significantly more (water and energy) for a shower than a bath.

Power showers don't need to be using electric for heating, do they?
I reckon my shower technique is the most water-efficient going.
Small amount of hot water in hand basin, soap and scrub, then get under shower to rinse it all off. (ours isn't a power-shower, just a cheapie electric one).
