Meerkats are no longer a matter of advertising, they are entertainment in their own right!
I really hate most of the specsavers ads (apart from the one where the director is trying to get rid of all thir advertising stuff, that one is funny) most of them are either patronising, or simply in poor taste.
There are ads which I enjoy watching. Wouldn't make me buy the stuff, but the ad is fun (can't remember a recent one, but the Guiness dominos thing was good).
There was an ad looong ago, for Mackeson (a rival to Guiness as far as I can understand). The old bloke had been advertising the stuff for years, but THIS ad he says "D'you know my favourite drink when I'm driving? A Cuppa tea! Ah, but when I'm done driving.. then I like a Mackeson"
Responsible advertising!
There used to be lots of fun ads for assorted booze, and most of the drinks in question have since vanished without trace (and I never tasted any of them, because it was all before I was old enough).

Don't think I've seen a complete advert for years as when they are on, my OH is trawling through sports programmes with the remote. Not sure which is worse, not seeing adverts or seeing a few second bites of golf, darts, football, tennis, rugby, snooker ........
