We have a 'jungle gym' one bought last summer as a oint pressie for my son who turned 5 and little bro who turned 2. OH put it together which saves about £100.
My 5 year old loves it and it is just the right level for him. The 2 year old loves it too but has to have help up the steps. It has a rope ladder, a climbing wall and big slide, steps etc. And it has a little roof thing too so is protected. OH will build monkey bars onto it when they get a little bigger still.
Or you can add a swing tyre or see saw.
Well worth the money, but not sure we would have bought it for them when they were any younger.
Stuff we also have that they love too= see saw, wooden playhouse (double height with stairs so we can all fit in!), junior swing, large covered sand pit, and a water table thing. They have all been well used by both children although the eldest is now pooing the sand pit and water table!
I think tey next thign will be an enclosed trampoline, maybe for this years joint pressie, they both love it when they play on a friends.

I'm just about to dismantle mine as the kids have outgrown it. It's this one:
TP Explorer Climbing Frame: Amazon.co.uk: Toys & Games
It has a slide and canopy too. I'm open to offers.

Well, after three days (on and off), it's finally assembled and Bean seems very happy with it.
Bean's climbing frame thingy
He loves the slide - albeit we have to lift him up and slide him down. He likes pulling on the rope, but he's yet to climb up it.
Funnily enough, during construction my aide said to me "he'll be climbing up that in a few months time", to which I replied "more like a few weeks with him". LadyWayne then came out with Bean and stood him up in front of one of the 'ladder' sections and Bean started to try and climb up it straight away.
Someone muttered - "you mean a few hours". I can't remember who.
Bean can hold his own weight by his hands - he's a monster!
Anyways, if anyone is in the market for something like this I can whole-heartedly recommend the people we bought ours from, they've been great.Last edited by HeyWayne; 06-04-2010, 12:26 PM.A simple dude trying to grow veg. http://haywayne.blogspot.com/

Nice one!
(Of course, that'll probably bung your council tax up by abut 70% - but still!)
Just a quick tip - the URL of the picture doesn't work.
I'm guessing that if you click the "EDIT" button you'll see it written like this...
[ url=bean's climbing frame thingy ]http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l79/WFCoultergeist/DSC019531.jpg[ /url ]
When it should read...

Feel free to copy and paste it over (without the spaces around in the [ url ] bits).
Nice looking climbing frame - luky kid!

He loves the slide now too - I was sliding him down it last night (well, holding him at the top and letting him slide down to his Granny at the bottom). Chuckling so much you could see all his back teeth (monstrous things that they are).A simple dude trying to grow veg. http://haywayne.blogspot.com/
