dear oh dear that's depressing, not only was there no UK record in place when I was born (and the US had some obscure Jimmy Dorsey track), but if you also work out what was probably top of the charts when you were conceived mine was, I kid you not, The Spinners with "Coming In on a Wing and Prayer"! bb

On 25th Feb 1968 ...
The Number 1 single was:
Manfred Mann - "Mighty Quinn"
We're twins!!! And it's definitely Manfred Mann, NOT Cinderella Rockafella (one of the worst songs of all time) - I looked it up years ago after hearing on the Annie Nightingale show that the No One on the day you were born worked as a sort of horoscope.
I'm sure the fact I married a Quinn had nothing to do with it. My 40th birthday present was a gold plated framed copy of the record.
My no 1:
Lonnie Donnegan - Puttin' on they Style/Gamblin' Man
No 1 album was the soundtrack to The King and I
Aww thanks! I'm young at heart and anyway, I take it this way if your 40 then thats the new 30! So me being 51 then shucks im only 41 and to me thats not old. I think once we reach middle age onwards just subtrack 10 years! Go on we can all get away with that one!lol
