I feel that I'll have to be soooooo grateful for weeks to come. Is it worth it?

    Sorry, bad day, bad week.

Hi Sweetie; I'm with you on this one.......would rather a cheese toastie and a walk in the rain than an overblown guilt ridden spoiling session.

Hope your weekend turns out brighter. xxx

I'm making my hubby a Valentines cake and we're dining at home but it won't be all triple-priced bouquets and silly soppy stuff as we hate the rip-off aspect and think we are older and wiser, though I paid through the nose for pink and red foil covered hearts to decorate his cake with!

I will be doing housework whilst he's out playing golf.

We did our Valentines Curry takeaway and Bottle of wine on Friday night when it was much cheaper.

We've got each other cards and small presents. We'll be spending the day clearing out the garage and then bed shopping before a nice meal and a bottle of vino.

                  I'd take either.
I've bought us a present each, and wrapped them (no cards, waste of money, but I did write a nice note to him on the chalk board).
I'd planned to make him a Full English this morning ... that was until he rolled in steaming drunk, 2 hrs late last night (after several texts asking where he was ... at 6pm he said he was on the train and he'd be home by 9. At 10pm I started asking where he was, only to get evasive answers )

I'm spending Valentines Day with two of my grandsons who stayed over last night (ages 5 and 4). No OH, so no red roses or guilt trips.

Well, I've dipped out of the Natural History field trip - when I went to do the chickens this morning it was widdling down! I'm too old to walk around in wet kecks with my manky knees! So Himself is out (he's a committee member so feels he has to go from a sense of duty) and I'm enjoying the Red Rose from Nicos. We'll have a nice meal tonight - even nicer 'cos I'll have a bit more time to sort it out!

Mrs TK made me a fantastic meal last night, and we opened a special bottle of wine. This morning I let the hens out then took her a cuppa in bed, and we opened our cards.
I have found little love notes hidden all over the place, and there was even one written in the snow when I went out to muck out the horses.

This afternoon we Will light the wood burner and put on a soppy film. Tonight she is cooking , oysters to start (you know what that does for you!) Then lobster with John Dory and asparagus, followed by chocolate fondants with strawberries.
Tomorrow is our second anniversary so I will be cooking! OK taking her out for a meal.
I feel so lucky to have such a loving partner, and its worth the back breaking mornings mucking out her horses in return!

I have no need to tell her how much I love her, I am sure she already knows, Oh I just have!

I've been staying in all weekend. I might go to the pub this lunchtime for a drink, I'm just trying to avoid watching my very recently ex BF slobbering over one of my best friends in front of me.

TK - you'll be exhausted if all the oysters work .

We had a 'special' dinner last night, bottle of fizz, nice red wine. I made some lobster nori rolls to start, then steak, chips, balsamic onions and peas, just because Mr R loves it and I hardly ever cook it.

Waiting for him to come back from taking little girl for her first tricycle ride, then we can do a little exchange of romantic stuff. Don't know about the rest of day - gorgeous sunny day here, so a walk in the Peak District will be as nice as anything.
