  • How blue has today been for you?

I,v read today is the most miserable day of the year!! they have calculated
that this is the day when we have a post xmas slump and realize how fat, unfit and broke we are and the weather is is usually pants as well
talking of pants mine gave up trying to go round me and split all down the side
luckily? my jeans were so tight the kept them up! nuff said?

Funny, I have been feeling a bit low today and it is not even raining out.

Bad luck about the pants T~O~M!

Today hasn't been too bad, but I'm going through a trauma anyway as my car goes in the paper on Weds and I'm psyching myself up to being car-less. Explain the sudden boo-hoos that way, but probably not helping things.

I started going to a gym in Nov so apart from feeling sleepy all the time, am doing something to get a bit fitter, and didn't make any resolutions, so can't fail that way

At least the daylight hours are getting a bit longer - it was light before 8am today!

Yes, I agree, I'm feeling rather down at the moment - and for once, not the lack of sunshine and daylight, I'm feeling OK on that score - I want to change jobs and am finding motivating myself for the one I've got really hard work....................must get those CVs typed and posted! DDL

Oh Lyndap you have my sympathy. Sometimes we go through phases in life which really seem to take us to the limit. I am sad to hear that you have to give up the lottie, but hope you will stick to the vine (please).

Please don't disappear lyndap - I converted my back garden into my own little lottie last year, so I know you are going to enjoy it as much as I enjoy mine. Keep in touch. DDL

No, today's been fine here although very busy and somewhat tropical in the office as the heating is broken and seems to be on full. They're trying to fix it so guess it'll be freezing tomorrow!

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Gorgeous day here today and I feel great But I do sympathise with the grapes who have the gremlins in their lives. Sometimes these little bandits get in, wreck havoc with you and are hard to get rid of. There's no one way, but you have to adopt all measures and keep going til you get rid of them. You win in the end and the little gits clear off. Hope things brighten up for everybody soon.

It is true, the recent bad weather combined with post christmas bank balance is getting to me too. It isn't the rain or the wind but the dark skies that go with it . I'm up early, in the dark, get the children to school and off to work. By the time I get home it is getting dark again.
Just been watching grow your own veg on bbc2 and feeling even more deprived of sunlight than before

Great had a great day making anew herbaceous border, removed some Bamboo and generally had a good clear up before "Winter"
Good afternoon in the workshop making more bird houses and preparing wood for my new allotment fence.
As a manic depressive, ironically it was my best day for months.
