Can't do anything about money until I get a statement saying there is some in the bank....

Hey, don't worry - I'm not expecting anything. The Vine has already been more than generous and has made a massive contribution to my target.

I'm intending to do something, but can't yet!

Woohooo! I reached my fundraising target amount!!

Having never done anything like this I was unsure what to expect, and I'm humbled by the generousity of people.

I have changed my target accordingly and upped the figure in the hope that I can raise a bit more for The British Heart Foundation.

Thank you Grapes - you're amazing!

                I'm committed now.

Funny story about that - had a mild panic last week.

Bike ride is booked for the 20th June - and looking at my wall planner I thought this worked out great as I had the following week off work.

Trouble was, I did have the following week off work, but that was from Saturday 19th - at which point we would be driving down to Devon.

I started trying to work out how I was going to get from Devon, to London, then from Brighton back down to Devon!

Then, we managed to sort it out so that we were off the following week instead.

                Phew!

Could do with this weather improving so I can get some saddle time in. Oh, plus it's payday on Friday and I'm hoping to get a new helmet and some bits that I need to get the bike back on the road (tyres etc).

You laugh, but I have struggled to find on that doesn't just perch atop my head. There are only one or two suppliers (that I can afford) who make lids big enough.

put some padded cycle shorts on your list, and 1 of those back packs that hold liquid, you can sip it as you go,and the wind you make goinf fast will take care of the after effects ,
