How awful for you. No wonder you feel so shaken. Awful experience, and I'm just so relieved you're ok.

Glad everyone was unhurt Ailsasyl, maybe you should hire a car & then send the bill to the drunk driver? I know when my O.H. was hit by someone years ago his insurance company sent a form asking him did he want to claim anything from the other driver who was found to be at fault such as car hire, time off work etc., he said no thanks.Into every life a little rain must fall.

Ive been hit by another driver before and it took a while for my insurance company to sort out a courtesy car, however i managed to get one from a company (cant remember the name but im sure you could find it on the internet) who then charges their insurance company for all the costs of the car and you arent out of pocket! i did this until my insurance coughed up my courtesy car!Life isnt about surviving the storm.....But learning to dance in the rain.

Insurance have been pretty quick in assessing the damage to my car, over £3000 worth and thats whats visible before they strip back, cars not worth that much so its a right off loss adjuster visited the garage yesterday although he wasn't scheduled till thursday has given my a price said I should get settlement within seven days.
Have booked hols for my next shift so as long as I get a car pretty quick all should work out ok. My lovely neighbour is going to help me look for a car, he knows what to look for.
