We love crepes with oranges, lemons and limes and sugar. We also have dutch or American style pancakes with butter and maple syrup.

Tonight (as Madmax won't be here on Tuesday) I am making pancake alaska for dessert.

We have pancakes all through the year at random times.
Sugar and lemon is the simplest and a favourite.
We also often have honey or syrup on them.
If I have a glut of fruits I chop them up and shove em on.
Strawberries, pears, apples, plums have all been used like this.
A dollop of natural yogurt, creme freche, or ice cream is also very nice.

We are far from posh but pancakes to us are the thick fluffy American ones

Madmax's knee is getting better, I have been driving him about for work but I think he is driving himself this week - hope the knee is up to it

We start with savoury ones filled with minced beef, peas and rice in Worcestershire Sauce. Then we move to sweet ones filled with black cherry pie filling (I know its a cheat, sorry) and vanilla ice cream.

                        Yum!!

                                I call it that too!

Mr. G hates making them, but gives in coz I nag too much otherwise! We often have savoury ones first, they can be used in place of pasta really easily.

Then for dessert it's with Lemon, Sugar and cream. He'll have one, I'll have a plate full! He always asks how many I want, the answer is always, how many you makin'?
