I enjoy perfumes, and have two collections of accords that I've been training my nose with and I'm just starting to feel confident enough to try some blending. My first one is ok - pleasant, not brilliant, but not too bad for a first go.

My sis is pretty gifted at cake decoration and has just started a 6 month sugarcraft course. I'll show her your photos Ct, should spur her on - they look fabulous.

I'm making wedding cakes (3 of them, for one wedding) but they aren't as professional looking as those so far on show.
My son is getting married on Saturday, and I offered to make cakes. Ended up with a 2 tier square 'traditional', a round 'alternative fruit cake' decorated with as many sugar flowers as I could get hold of in the right colour, and the 'novelty' sponge cake (making that tomorrow) which will have 2 'countries' in fondant icing, in a butter-cream sea, and linked by edible 'string'. His lady is Mexican.....
Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.

I spent years making dance costumes for my own girls and for others at the dance school they went to and then got a job making freestyle costumes.
Then the girls ahd to give up the dancing cos of work and college and the lady I worked for scaled down and I got redundancy. I now get athritis in my hands from the cutting out etc so don't really do sewing anymore.
I did for a while have a little business making fascinators and headresses but it was more a hobby and when I got my current job and now the lottie There's no time.

I used to make things but since I had carpel tunnel in both hands I find it hard to do things even after having the op on both. I wasnt very good and couldnt do big things but it kept my hands busy lol. I have a box of fabric odds and sods if any one wants them, my niece has just taken some the rest will go in the bin if no takers, none of it is enough to make anything so cant give it to a charity shop.

Such great talent on here. Love the cakes. I used to bake but got out of the habit when the kids left home.
I do knitting and sowing but nothing on a great scale.

What a beautiful Quilt & those animals look real, wish I could do that

In my 'real' job I design & make costumes, 'Cinderella is one of mine. I started making landscapes & sculptures out of glass, 'Soil, sand, sea & sky is one'. It just goes to prove how chooks sneak into everything when you have them, hence the tiffany chook suncatcher
