Definitely not showing my raised bed extension now. That staircase is awesome, and actually, sort of what I'm looking for, for when I open up one of the lofts.

Thanks everyone - we're taking bets on to what she'll think it is. Hot contenders are a wiggle wiggle (worm) or Thomas the Tank engine

Lucky it's only once a year, dread to think what other monstrosities I can come up with LOL. (Think that I'll stick to my normal hobbies from now on)

Haha - now I see the meaning behind the cake decorating comment in the hobbies thread!
I think it looks delicious myself.

                        Creative...
I made my own surfboard from scratch. That probably counts.
Making my own snowboard is on the cards too, but not for a while yet. That's probably a job for next year.

I've got a mile-long list of things to make but since every time I try to clear the garage to build a workbench and actually get started - it manages to fill up with rubbish all over again. Quite frankly it's starting to get me down as I love making things but just don't have anywhere to work that doesn't need clearing at the end of every session. Such is life though.

Once that workshop is set up though - it'll be full steam ahead.

                        Other things:
                        Panoramic pinhole camera from scratch.
Turned a wooden back step destined for the tip into a planter for strawberries (which will be moved to my allotment soon and the planter repurposed as a herb bed).
The current project (simple enough to do without a workbench - and the first wood to go through my table saw) is making the 4'x4' grids to mark out the "square feet" for the beds down on the allotment. It'll make life a LOT easier when they go in.

A bit of a "jack of all" really.

Hi Patchninja, welcome to the vine. I think if you do a search when you're looking at the list of current threads, there should be one already up for loading photos. I think Piskie(?) and Bob Lesponge(?) might have been involved in the discussion. Failing that, ask in the coffee break thread, someone will remember.

Really looking forward to seeing your patchwork. I've made a rabbit & quilt so far but not to a pattern. I've also a load of Kaffe Fassit material 3/4 cut to make into a duvet cover before the end of this year

Except for the 1st time in months, my kitchen was warm and the icing slide off it's face. What a disaster LOL.

My BF is about to bring her new daughter into the world any day now and so I made this patchwork snug for her. Fingers crossed she likes it, they're not girly girly type people (2nd daughter so going by past experience) so I've made it bright and cheerful and left it white on the other side. 100% cotton so easy wash.
