Any news Hilary? I'm not a dog person particularly but I do know how a pet can become a family member. I hope your silence is just that you and she are finally getting some rest.

Thanks all. I've been too busy to get to the Vine since Sunday (being busy helps, a bit). FINALLY got a call at 6,30 this evening, surgery complete, outlook promising, but she's got to stay there until Thursday to get pain medication sorted.
Looking after her for the next couple of weeks will be complicated, She normally sleeps on a chair in my room. No stairs for at least 2 weeks.....
I think I will be sleeping downstairs for at least a couple of nights.
Saturday is a desperately busy day (son's wedding), so how do I get to stay with her much?
We have another dog (misnamed Lady) and how do we stop her pestering?
Ah well, she is, as Corax said "on the right side of the operation now".
                  Thanks again.

Glad to hear things have gone well and she's on the mend. Dogs can be sensitive to situations so hopefully Lady won't pester her too much. big hugs xxxxxxxxxx

Good news Hilary. Perhaps you could put her in a room on her own on Saturday and ask visitors not to fuss her too much? Do let us know how she improves.

Great news, Boots sends a wag so hard it is making his whole body shake, Sprocket sends her lots of kisses....

I am sure that you might get suprise from Lady, these two know when the other one is poorly try to take over their care. I would expect Lady to give her a good sniffing over - as soon as she smells vets she will know. Thank goodness she isn't a Springer as the minute the anaesthetic was up she would be bouncing off the walls, they don't seem to feel pain.

                            Hope the wedding goes well.
