Thanks again for all your messages - radiotherapy was started yesterday and I came home today (whoohoo! Internet again!) and will return on a daily basis from |Monday for up to 10 treatments.
Then the restof the treatment will roll out - there is some spread but doctors are optimistic. They are doing ongoing tests to confirm these are secondaries of the original breast cancer.
It's great to know there are such lovely people on my side.

Good to hear you sounding positive, MTF. It can all be so frightening. I don't have the experience of other peeps, but wish you all the best and am sending huge positive thought bricks to you. Catch.....!
I've only just seen this thread so I'm so sorry to be so late in replying.
I so admire your spirit and courage as you go through all this. Like the others I will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Good luck on Monday.
A very big 'e-hug' is on its way to you!

That sounds encouraging, MTF - the radiotherapy will make you tired but 10 cycles will be over in no time. Make sure you rest up, look after yourself, and keep in touch.
The doctors being positive is a solid foundation to start getting better with. I didn't need the radiotherapy as mine was accessable so they whipped it out instead So pleased you're feeling good and we're here for you at any time. PMs are also welcome XXXX
