So what's your preference? Would you rather go to the cinema these days or put your feet up and watch a DVD at home?
Why?
I'll start the ball rolling
When I was little going to the pictures (as we called them) was a real treat. Obviously it was before the days of internet booking and often we had to arrive at the cinema ridiculously early to get a seat.
These days, I find that most films are not my choice, and if there is something on I'd like to see, its gone before I can get there. Also the cost of going to the cinema works out at over £20 for all of us, so not a cheap option.
Therefore I generally wait for DVD release, or rather, about 6 months afterwards to get the DVD at around £5-7, watch it with a glass of wine or some nibbles etc.
The only time I would rather go to the cinema is if its a 3D kids film.
