So night night everyone. Off to nurse a certain hangover tomorrow. Glad you all enjoyed it!

                    • Happy Birthday shirl - got here at last!!!

                      Hi shirl,
I really really hope you have a good birthday and am gutted that I missed the party - we actually helped another friend celebrate her birthday last night, and yes, the parsnip wine did come out!

Working on the methane powered transport which obviously let me down last night, and will patent it as soon as Bubblewrap starts producing enough! (am really waiting for the JA crop: tee hee...)

Will crack a bottle for you tonight and hope you have a fab time.

                      • Birthday was yesterday so no celebrations today. Thanks for the wishes though and if you want to raise a glass feel free! What is parsnip wine like? I take it nicer than parsnips!

Oh yes, it is the champagne of home made wines imho, but I haven't made any carrot or parsley yet!
I made some last Autumn which we had for Christmas and it was really lovely, so I made some more!
It tastes nothing like parsnips, a bit dry, a little almost faintly aniseed-y, crisp, and because I drank the Christmas one a bit early, it had a sparkle to! I'm struggling here as I'm no wine buff, but you get the gist I hope.

I really like parsnips and made some parsnip & carrot patties last night for the party here. They tasted nothing like parsnips either because I used the frozen ones left over from the wine! Will post the recipe when I get round to writing it down (made it up as I went along, like all good cooking).
                          All the best
