My 5 yr old - mummy, farmers don't have to go to tesco do they?
me- why's that then?
him - because the farmer's wife makes all the bread
me - do you know how you make bread?
*cue a long discussion about wheat, harvesting, making flour etc...
him - oh, I thought it was made from mashed potato!

Actually, potato bread (you can use potato flour but I like a good dollop of left over mash in it - the problem is having mash left over - if we cook extra we eat extra!) is really moist and flavourful. I can feel a batch coming on. Maybe when we've eaten the oatmill loaf I just made!
