Although I make my own chutneys, I've never got round to making my own jam. I've just tried some Bonne Maman Apricot Compote - its delish!
What is your favourite jam/preserve?

Appreciate the little things in life because one day you will realise they are the big things
I have to say my very favourite is home made Tayberry Conserve. You crush the fruit and don't add any water. It's just thick preserved fruit and keeps its refreshing flavour.
Haven't tasted any of these exotic ones - I have to bid for home-made strawberry - made with those diddy sweet ones you get once the biggies have been picked.
Call me boring, but I've never tasted any jam that comes close to Raspberry (with the seeds in). Especially my mum's homemade RJ, although she hasn't made any in years.

I've made a couple of blackberry and apple jellies this past autumn - one with sage and one with rosemary added at the cooking stage. The flavour is very subtle but nice. Of course, you can use them with meat or cheese but they are also brilliant on toast like a jam (guess how I know!)
I like the sound of those. Do you have the recipe? If so, could you post in the kitchen section?
Afraid not- they were shop bought!..I did ask her what she put in and she said that it varies everytime- and she just puts on the label the little extras she puts in!
sorry!
- sometimes its an effusion, and other times it finely chopped herbs.
Just thought of another one - pear and elderberry with urmmm ( I think it was either sage or urmm) darn...I'm having one of those days methinks!)
