Fingers crossed for all our chums.
Never really been in a 'storm' storm, but we had some pretty hefty weather when we were in Tuscany year before last and that was scary enough thank you.A simple dude trying to grow veg. http://haywayne.blogspot.com/

I've just managed to catch up with the news and can't believe how lucky we were to get away with just a few hours without electricity. I am hoping that Jardiniere is Ok - she is right on the canal side so I hope she hasn't been flooded
Can I just say too - thank you all for your concern. this really is a great place and it is good to know that peeps are so caring.
THANK YOU, YOU LOVELY PEEPSA garden is a lovesome thing, God wot! (Thomas Edward Brown)

you are so lovely - we had a tiny tiny storm - fairly normal spring one - debris in the roads but no power cuts.....nothing in the garden blew away... Rodley is further west than me and there's a new guy (Dave) in Deux Sevres ...... not heard from them but Rodley has not been on the vine for a while

Hi.Many Thanks for your thoughts ,I came downstairs at 03.30 because of the racket.Went outside and the noise of the wind in the large trees that run down the East side of the garden was unbelievable .I did not go back to bed and spent the rest of the night on the settee with the dog for company,(my wife is in the UK for a week). We are very lucky to get away with a few tiles, the power was only off for a few hours but have only just got the internet back ,hence the delay in posting. We are very lucky compared to parts Charente Maritime and the Vendee which are the Departments next to ours.Dave
