My cat adores marmite...climbs legs and steals toast n marmite.
So does OH, and dog and mummy horse!
    And of course ME.
Does anywhere sell it in buckets.
Only complaint, how do they justify charging so much for what is basically a waste product, like the suger beet pellets i buy for the horses, they only cost £6 for 25kg...why not marmite

LOL! I'm so glad there are people getting just as excited as me on this. I saw an article in the paper the other day, and when I told DH excitedly, he just looked at me like I was on drugs or something.

There have been a few - both the Guiness and Pedigree ones were ok, but they were both using similar yeast extract to the original. The Champagne one was just awful though.

You can buy catering sized tubs - I have done in the past, and will probably again.

XO is matured four times longer than standard Marmite for a thicker consistency and more intense flavour. It will be available from Waitrose and Selfridges from Monday 1st March and Tesco and Morrison’s w/c 8 March. RRP £3.99.

Not sure I'm going to dare try this XO version - I'm one of those oft derided folk that only likes the thinnest of thin smearings of the stuff. I have to confess that when I read the article on HW's first posting, it sounded like an April 1st wind up to me! And it was by Haymarket Brand Media too .... However, other posting confirmed it, so I await our first Vine connoisseurs verdict.

p.s. And I'm with HW on the Champagne version, (bought romantically for OH on Valentines day...). Just awful.

Has anyone actually tried the Marmite XO yet? The only reason I ask is there is a jar in my shopping bag as we speak! Unopened.
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?
