Hot toddy, its the way forward. Generous slug of whisky (please no single malts), lemon juice, honey, top up with warm water from the kettle.

Hope you're feeling better soon, we're missing your posts!

Sending you lots of hugs, tea and sympathy (liberally laced for medicinal purposes of course!) Feeling rough is no fun, especially when the weather is so perfect for lots of digging.

Hope you're both back on your feet asap.

              Getting Better!

Hi all, thanks for all the wonderful get well messages, they were wonderful!

Mr D was only off ill for 1 day, which was yesterday, as he felt light headed, but I came down with it on Thursday afternoon and am still not fully over it yet!

I came home on Thursday and crawled under the quilt on the sofa, stayed there til 1030 and went to bed! It was my day of on Friday, which I spent wrapped up trying to sweat it out, feeling very feverish and lightheaded, as weak as a kitten and eyes streaming! As I wasnt sure who else was in on the weekend with keys to open the branch I went into work on Saturday, and came home as soon as my team had had their lunches, and rang in sick on Sunday and Monday, spending most of the time asleep or dozing whilst listening to the telly! Finally felt a bit better yesterday, and when I woke up this morning after 11 hours of sleep (on my normal day off) I actually felt human for the first time in a while, although I am still weak and still have that 'flu' type feeling, but not enough to stop me going back to work tomorrow!

We managed to get down the plot for an hour this afternoon, took the plastic off of the onions bed and planted another 150 onion sets and about another 50 garlic cloves that were sprouting, so that bed is now fairly full (tho we've left 6 beds of 2' width to block plant with some of the carrots we are planning on growing, in the hopes that the surrounding onions and garlic will mask the carrot odour from the carrot flys!

It was nice to see the soil has now dried out enough for us to resume double digging, so the plans for the weekend are to plough on with that and get it finished before we mark out the beds on our second plot and start to turn them over, oh, and of course we've still got to reglaze the greenhouse panels that were destroyed in the winds a week or two ago!

Anyhows, tho I'm not 100% yet, I am going to try and get up to date with things over the next day or two! Anyone volunteer to fill me in?
              Blessings

Belated Hatching Day wishes Shirl, sorry we missed the party!

Dont worry, I will be taking it easy at work, only 3 days in until its my weekend off, and as the boss I can delegate the hard physical work and do some nice relaxing paperwork to make sure I dont get too fatigued!
