One thing I did like the look of was the shallow tubtrugs they were using - just the ticket for some of the jobs around the garden.* I looked them up and they are made by tubtrugs and are called tyre trugs - they only come in black as far as I could determine.

what i liked was
Toby made a big thing about opening his seed packets with scissors, not having dirty hands, tapping the seeds in, watering beforehand etc...
then Alice came along -tore open her seed packets with dirty hands and watered afterwards...
who do i copy?
There's only one answer..
FIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (with apologies to Harry Hill)

seems to me they can't do right for doing wrong!!
seems they will always be slated for whaever they do - they will never please everyone and many will never be pleased!
And it's time I was outta here...Last edited by piskieinboots; 06-03-2010, 10:50 PM.aka

I liked it. Last year's was patchy- I hated the silly features. This year it seems we are just going to have pure gardening.....which is great.
Carol's bit was good.
It should be an hour, though.
Anyone remember what the Polish blight-resistant toms were called? Something beginning with a 'k'......?

Recorded it on Friday night as I was doing something else (can't remember what now though!) and not watched it yet. From the previous posts it sounds like it's definitely not worse than last year and may be better so will give it a try and see.
Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.
Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

What I couldn't get over was the price of the green snowdrops @ £22.50!
He halved them and planted them as a clump..................at £11.25 a clump, I'd want gold plated snowdrops! Maybe it's just me being a tight git!
Programme was OK as a whole though I suppose! My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order
to present to him vegetables and all beautiful flowers.- Offerings of Thutmose III to Amon-Ra (1500 BCE)

hmmmmmmmmm better but not great! dont much like the way Toby delivers his lines... bit patronising. He kinda breaks down the sentence as if we either dont speak English or are about six years old. I like Toby lots, but not doing this job! Boots- bit girlie I thought... real men wear wellies. Geoff in tight fitting brown leather knee high boots.....I dont think so
Fell asleep half way through....opppsLast edited by Headfry; 08-03-2010, 09:28 AM.
