Yes I agree - better but not great.
The features I could do without are the films of nerdy people who have dedicated their lives to one particular plant, flower.......or gnomes! The snowdrops thing was even more dull than the rassie canes bit.

Gardeners World is still better than a whole bunch of detritus that passes as 'entertainment' on the tellybox.

        Other options are available.

          Oh goodness yes!!!

The same old story; ask 100 gardeners and you'll get 100 different responses.

As long as they aren't dancing on ice/singing someone else's songs badly/pushing each other into a pond using polystyrene [actually, that might be an interesting one]; then we have to remember that you can't please all the people all the time.

Bring back the Titch and his cats - didn't like Monty and I can't abide Toby.

The only person who is any good is Carol and even she's escaped from Greenacres or whatever it's called.

Alan T is my all time hero....

See, now I never watched Gardeners World when Alan was on it, I only know him from Ground Farce.

                      Monty's ace in my opinion.

                        found this one today too:

I wasn't particularly inspired either. I agree that there should be somehting more advanced for the more experienced gardener. The bascis are necessary but there comes a point when you've seen it all before.

                            Gardeners World.

Well I downloaded it onto the Laptop to watch in bed later on Friday night.

Now what I learnt was that the Snowdrops I really liked are in-fact the most expensive plants on the planet.

I googled around to find buyers of Galanthus 'Donald Mackenzie', and instead found a small article describing an auction where 1 plant started at £50.

                            Gulp.

I thought last nights wasn't too bad, especially if you want a rose garden. roses are not my cuppa but I do recognise that they are very popular and don't resent the fact that half the show was given to it. Thought there were some useful bits in the rest of the program too. Toby still annoys me though with his patronising attitude. I reckon Joe and Carol are much more knowledgable than him but he talks down to them.
Why didn't Noah just swat those 2 greenflies?

Why are they called apartments when they are all stuck together?

                                The blurb for tonights is:

Toby Buckland starts off varieties of vegetables which can be sown, grown and harvested within weeks, in a new vegetable plot at Greenacre, while Joe Swift is planting evergreen hedging and offering advice on planting out Camellias. At Glebe Cottage, Carol Klein explores the relationships between members of the lily family, while at RHS Wisley Colin Crosbie gives a master class in Camellia pruning techniques and recommends varieties that will extend the flowering season.

“If your knees aren't green by the end of the day, you ought to seriously re-examine your life.”

"What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us." Ralph Waldo Emerson

Charles Churchill : A dog will look up on you; a cat will look down on you; however, a pig will see you eye to eye and know it has found an equal
