Am so glad that gemma is doing well. Bob was exactly the same re. boredom levels when he had his knee done! If you can go a different way "round the block" or even a different way up or down the road, they really like it! So glad you're all still ok though, me and the boys were really worried.

She got some 'real walks' (ride in the car to where she could have a walk) over the weekend, but only feasible when we have plenty of time as the other one needs her 'normal' walks....
I am still a bit worried that there may be some nerve problem, but the vet seems to think all is going as expected....

That's good that you got her out to somewhere new. It's hard when you've got ther other one to exercise too. What makes you think there may be some nerve problems?

Muscle loss, and she puts her foot down the wrong way!

Bruised nerves recover at 1" a month if that's a helpful guide.

Can you take her for a swim somewhere???- That'd really help!
Glad she's slowly improving- poor thing

the poor wee scone. Hopefully it's just early days in the healing process and things'll "come right" in time. hugs and woofs from us all.

The vet has suggested 'swimming', but she isn't keen on swimming in the usual way (she's part greyhound, and IMO her dislike of water is due to being the wrong shape for aquatic exercises). The vet says that the place designed for such things is different, and dogs love it even if they wouldn't normally swim. Just hope the insurance will pay!
