Have you tried your local supermarkets? Ours usually have loads of those black flower buckets for sale in packs of 10 or so. Very handy for emergency potting.

I did - all of them say they now send them back to the supplier for re-use

Asda have started filling their shelves & were selling black buckets @ �1 each. Don't know if that's good value or not.

And Morrisons do their flower buckets in batches of 6 for �1.99.

When I got there Sunday morning nice man took me off to the area not-for-Public and showed me a mountain of pots, broken pots, nice pots, all sorts of pots - 'help yourself' he said.

I came home with a boot full of plastic pots (light for carriage) which were decorative and had price tags on for �9.99 each so they were obviously on sale at some point!

I'm blown away by their generosity
