Methinks it is the home made compost - this has happened to me and I don't put tomatoes in the compost either because I got loads of tomato plants last year!

Hmmm, it wont be squirrels as they have been hunted to pretty much extinction round here, so its either the potato fairy or the home made compost.

Explains why I had a potato plant come up between some 'rustic' paving slabs (rustic = laid on earth and stamped on). I guess Mr Rat must have taken some peelings into it's den and then after the poison took hold......the potato was the only survivorComment
