When I got my insurance it was £740, after 2 months I got a job and rang up to change the insurance from 'personal use' to 'personal use and commuting'. They gave me £114 back and reduced my monthly instalments by £12.
Even though commuting means I use it more, being employed means I'm 'statistically' less likely to have an accident, even though I don't change my driving style just because I've got a job!
Crazy but that's just the way it works I suppose.
